Spicy Potato Soup
 
Makes 6 servings
 
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
4 c potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
5 c water
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 - 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
 
In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown beef, onion and green pepper; drain.  Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to boil.  Reduce heat to low.  Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, or until potatoes are tender and soup has thickened.
