Green Pea Stew Recipe

 

This stew begins with a homemade sauce and is easiest to eat in wide, rimmed bowls.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 lbs. cubed beef stew meat

• 3/4 tsp. salt

• 2 Tbs. olive oil

• 3 C. meatless Italian gravy

• 6 C. shelled fresh peas

Directions

 

Sprinkle meat with salt. In a wide heavy saucepan, brown meat in oil. Add gravy and peas. Cover and simmer gently for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until

meat is tender. Stir occasionally.

 

Serve with:

Pasta and Crab Salad.  Enjoy.
