French Onion Soup

Makes 4 servings

1 tbl plus 1 tsp vegetable oil
2 cups thinly sliced onions
4 cups water
4 packets instant beef flavored broth mix
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
3 tbl grated Parmesan cheese

In a medium nonstick saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions
and sauté until golden, separating slices into rings. Add small
amounts of water, if necessary, to keep onions from drying. Bring
soup to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
Divide soup evenly into 4 serving bowls.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
