He was accidentally shot in the head by his best friend. That lil boy is 11 years old and Beau is 10. I do believe that they were with the father of the oldest boy deer hunting. The first lil boy got excited because he shot his first deer and somehow the gun went off striking Beau in the head.
They did surgery here in town and could not remove the bullet. He was airlifted to a larger city hospital late yesterday afternoon. They were told that the first 72 hours are critical.
The news said that it was a small caliber rifle. I do not know anything about guns and do not want to get into debates about it but I think that an 11 year old is to young to go hunting. If they do, they should be taught SAFETY first and foremost.
