{soups-salads-and-salad-dressings} CREAM OF WILD RICE SOUP

 

CREAM OF WILD RICE SOUP
(Farm and Ranch Guide)

9 slices bacon, cut in small pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cans cream of potato soup
1-1/2 cups cooked wild rice (1/2 cup uncooked)
1 pint half and half
1 pint milk
2 cups Velveeta cheese

Optional:
Cooked chicken, cut up
Mushrooms

Saute bacon pieces with onion.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer. Can add optional ingredients.
Can substitute evaporated milk for the half and half.
