Beef And Radish Soup - Tibet

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Pound Sirloin Tip Roast, Trimmed -- cubed
1 Teaspoon Ginger -- finely chopped
3 Cups Water
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
2 Cups Pasta Shells -- small
2 Cups Daikon -- sliced
1 Teaspoon Cornstarch -- dissolved in
1 Tablespoon Water

Heat oil in saucepan, and fry beef and ginger for 3 minutes. Add water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add pasta, and daikon. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add cornstarch mixture and simmer for 3 minutes. Serve.
Serves     6
