I have created this group to post every recipe that I send out. As you
know, I do not post every recipe that I send on just any one of my
groups. They are broken down into separate categories. Well, this one
is for every last recipe I send whether it is a cookie or a casserole.
It will be me posting only. If you are interested, here is the link:

I just had this salad at a bridal shower. It was so tasty and versatile. As a main course, you could add more chicken. For vegetarians, you could leave out the chicken. You could also change the pasta type. Add more vegetables: cucumbers, celery, olives, green peppers, etc. Here is the basic recipe:
{soups-salads-and-salad-dressings} Vegetable-Pasta Salad
Vegetable-Pasta Salad
1 lb. pasta, cooked, rinsed and cooled (I like to use the tri-colored blend)
1 head cauliflower, in small pieces
1 bunch broccoli, in small pieces
2 onions, chopped
2 peppers, chopped (I like to use one red/one green)
2 cucumbers, chopped
Dressing:
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon Accent
1 tablespoon parsley
1 teaspoon black pepper
Mix dressing ingredients together and pour over vegetable pasta mixture. Let sit in refrigerator for several hours or overnight for the flavors to blend.
{soups-salads-and-salad-dressings} MACARONI SALAD by Ida Mae
MACARONI SALAD by Ida Mae
12 oz. package of small shell macaroni
diced cheese
1 ½ c. diced celery
diced, fried bacon
1 can of peas, drained
piece of green pepper, diced
salt & pepper to taste
thinned Miracle Whip or mayonnaise
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and cool.
Add remaining ingredients. Refrigerate a few hours to blend flavors.
Note: Taste salad after a few hours. May need to salt, pepper, add more mayonnaise, etc.
Variations: I have altered this recipe a variety of ways, depending on what I have in the house.
Ham instead of bacon
½ - ¾ bag of frozen peas instead of can of peas (pour on hot macaroni in colander---the macaroni cools, the peas thaw). Then add remaining ingredients.
Add mustard, honey mustard, parsley flakes, dried onion, etc. to mayonnaise mixture.
