Better Than Restaurant French Onion Soup
I have been making this for years for family and friends and everyone
says mine is better than any in a restaurant. It's easy and wonderful.
For each bowl of soup use 1/2 onion sliced very thin and cut in half.
Saute the onion until transparent in olive oil. Add 1 cup of water and 1
1/2 beef bullion cube for each bowl of soup and bring to a boil. Simmer
15 minutes or until ready to serve.
To Serve:
Place 1 Tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese is bottom of each bowl.
Ladle soup on top, top with a crusty piece of French bread and place a
slice of swiss cheese on top. Place under broiler until cheese is
melted. Serve and Enjoy
