{soups-salads-and-salad-dressings} Groips being moved

 

I decided not to actually move the groups myself. I have handed them over to someone else to move them to another site. Here is the message and groups. 


    If you are on one of these Yahoo groups and wish to stay on the group, please join one or more of the new IO groups listed below.  If your Yahoo group is not listed below, I will help create it on request (please put "Ginny" somewhere in the subject line so I see the request).  Some of these new groups were created because owners turned the names over to me.  I am not on ALL the corresponding Yahoo groups listed so I ask folks to spread the word that these groups below are now available.  Note in a few cases the names are a little different but close as I could get.


Some of these groups have been on IO for awhile and I am just reminding folks that are still on yahoo.  Other groups are brand new and created since Yahoo announced the closings.

{soups-salads-and-salad-dressings} moving to another platform or not - A solution for some

 

As you will all know by now, Yahoo groups will by the 15th December 2020 be no more and this is not a prank scan or joke. They really are shutting down for good. This is a fact. The reality is that many group owners just don't want to go through the hassle of changing group formats and that is okay too.

 

I am not going to bleat on what owners of their groups should do at all as this is a tough decision for any group owner to handle.

 

I would love to be included in any group I am on that are moving to a new platform such as Groups.IO. And I hope that I will be invited to join the new groups.

 

Yahoo groups has become unworkable for many folks since they axed the files, photos and digest capabilities from us not to mention the moderating capabilities that now allows scammers to enter undetected.

 

With the busier groups, it is painful getting hundreds of emails a day that most folks just do not have the time or energy to deal with. Groups.IO gives us digest back if that is what we wish for our in boxes.

 

It is going to be very sad to see so many awesome groups just simple go without a trace. I know so many people will be with me when I say that those groups will be sorely missed by so many

 

In the meantime though, I am extending an invitation to all folks to pop along to two very friendly groups so that you are not feeling alone when Yahoo does close its doors on us soon.

 

There is no pressure and you can always leave at any time. I can assure you that the folks are all very friendly and their is always good information and recipes being shared depending on the group you choose to join. Some really enjoy a good chat too

 

Prudent Living is more a homesteading/self reliance group that does share frugally based recipes at times. Delicious Low Budget Recipes is just that, with the odd more extravagant recipes thrown in for treats and special occasions.

 

So if you like just pop on over even if it is just for a chat with like minded people. They will make you feel welcome I am sure.

Messages that are not recipe related

I don't mind messages being sent but it has come to my attention(me approving message and other e-mails from other people about their groups)that some messages sent are being considered spam.I will not approve these messages.These groups are for recipes and questions or comments about recipes, not about stuff that has nothing to do about recipes or the kitchen.If I recieve 2 or more of these from the same person I will do what I don't like to do, that is unsub you and ban you from the groups.I hope you underatand and so by this rule.
